Did you know that Sunday, November 13th is World Kindness Day? What a perfect opportunity for Moxie to collaborate with local non-profit, Let’s Be Kind, whose mission is to cultivate a culture of kindness in local schools!
Many schools now teach social-emotional learning in their classrooms, as it has been proven to have multiple life-long benefits for kids, and World Kindness Day is a perfect chance to integrate the important lesson of kindness into their curriculum. For the entire week of November 14, the Newport-Mesa Unified School District will be teaming up with Let’s Be Kind for the 5th year to focus on spreading kindness and giving students the opportunity to practice and implement their kindness skills. 11 schools in the district will be participating, which means that over 7,000 students will be impacted.
While Let’s Be Kind will offer a free “Be Kind” t-shirt to all students and teachers, Moxie Marketing will provide a free copy of founder Jeanette Knutti’s book Be Kind to Yourself for over 350 teachers, staff members, and librarians at the participating schools, which comes complete with lesson plan ideas.
